about

I define “Digital Acoustic Violin” as a violin performance with planned and improvised melody, accompaniment, and song form created in real-time with a computer and foot pedals. When I start a performance, I have nothing prerecorded. Everything you hear is created live on an acoustic violin in a single pass. As I perform, I have the computer record musical phrases. Then, controlled by foot pedals, I decide which phrases to play back at which times. Learn more and see video at marshworks.com.

about

I’ve been building an fairly unique violin-centric style using a computer and foot pedals to create 16 channel live improvised orchestrations as I play.
